St. Nick's Day

Growing up Catholic, we always celebrated St. Nick's Day on December 6th, his birthday.  We wanted to continue the tradition with our children, but we changed it a little bit.  On December 5th, our bedtime story is the story of St. Nick.  We talked to our kids about how loving and generous he was.  Then we tell them to celebrate St. Nick, mommy and daddy were going to put something in their stocking for them to open in the morning just like St. Nick used to do.  This year the boys were obsessed with Beywheels and Beyblades, so they each received a new beywheel in their stocking and on the floor was a beywheels stadium.  St. Nick's Day always starts the Christmas festivities!
