For Cole's birthday, we took him up to the NICU where he spent the first four weeks to visit with some of his nurses. This was his main nurse Melissa. She is still as sweet as ever! Since Cole didn't really need anything for his birthday, we bought some toys and donated them to the family room at the NICU. Some of our friends were so generous and for Cole's birthday they made a donation to the children's hospital that means so much to us!
We did buy Cole one little toy on his birthday....this is Cole enjoying his new lawn mower. Grandpa Alvey would be so proud!!
Ok, so this picture has a funny story. On his actual birthday I made a cake to take to day care so that he could celebrate there. There was some left over so that night I gave him a little sliver of it with a candle and we sang happy birthday again. This is Cole trying to eat the plate the cake was on....apparently he wanted more.

We had a fiesta for Cole's party and here are all of the kids lined up ready to take their turn at the Pinata. Needless to say, these children left our house on a sugar high!
