Celebrating Cole

In our house, we try to make each other's birthdays special from the time they wake up until they time they go to sleep (definitely a tradition I got from my mom). Cole woke up to an Elmo balloon on his chair and donuts and raspberries (his favorites for breakfast...the only thing missing was smoothies). When we got home from work/school/day care, we ate dinner and sang happy birthday to him and then we all enjoyed some dolce de leche cupcakes! Yummy!
These two crack me up!

Brady did so well being patient and letting Cole open his own presents. For those of you with a 4, almost 5 year old, you know what a feat that is!

Cole got a toy story Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head! He kept saying "Buzz, Buzz"
He also got his own umbrella because he always tries to hold mine, which is obviously way too big! (Brady is modeling it for him.)
Intently focused on Mr. Buzz Lightyear Potatoe Head.
We had a wonderful day celebrating out little boy, and I think he enjoyed it too. At the end of the day, he had been sang to so many times that he just kept continuing to sing the Happy Birthday Song. We can't wait to see the changes he will make as he grows from 2 to 3!
