Race for the Cure

Race for the Cure is an event that Brad and I always try to participate in some way....always financially and sometimes by participating in the actual race! This year we really wanted to run the race with the boys in celebration of my sorority sister Kristi! She was diagnosed with breast cancer and is fighting it with grace, strength and unbelievable faith! To show our support for her Brad and I each set a fundraising goal (which we both achieved!!), and put the race date on our calendar. As you can see from the pictures, the weather was not ideal, but we didn't let that stop us. Enjoy the pictures below and keep fighting Kristi! We are so proud of you!

When we are walking around before the race, I always get emotional. Seeing all of the survivors in their pink and the people who have lost loved ones to this awful disease always does me in! We're ready to go!

We stopped by the donut place and got the boys some donuts so they were in heaven!
Thank you to all of the people who donated to help us reach our goal, especially Ann Marie (the next post will be dedicated to her wedding and our weekend in Charleston!), the Rogiers, my friend Kristine and my cousin Brian! Thanks guys for your support!
