This is the back side of our house, which goes straight down. That is how hard the wind was blowing, that it stuck to our house as soon as it hit.
We had 2+ inches of ice EVERYWHERE. This is me laying the camera down on the garage floor so you can see how much ice there was on our driveway. We had to use a metal shovel and pick to clear it off of the driveway! Good thing Brad was axious to get outside as he spent HOURS clearing a path for our cars.
This is in the middle of our street. We took the boys outside and planned to let them play, but it was so slick that both of them had fallen within 20 minutes of being outside and we quickly headed back in. Before we came in, the boys discovered that they could lay on the ice, and Brad could spin them in circles. They had a blast doing this!
So what do you do with two young boys and three days stuck in the house? We played lots of dress up and good guys and bad guys.

We made homemade cinnamon rolls and Valentine sugar cookies to put in the freezer for our annual Couple's and Kids weekend with some of our best friends at the end of February.
Brady can barely wait until everything is made before he is asking to lick the bowl, spoon, beater, etc.!

We played lots of basketball, air hockey, made thank you cards for Christmas presents (that I still need to mail), and watched lots of movies. Needless to say, we survived the ice storm unharmed and even made a few memories!
