What a week!

To say that last week was exhausting and stressful might be an understatement. Cole woke up last Friday night with a 103 temperature. He maintained a temperature of 101-103 until Monday so we took him to the doctor. Our doctor told us that it was viral and there was nothing he could do to help him. At this point, Cole had a fever, was severely congested and wasn't sleeping more than 1-1 1/2 hours at a time at night. The doctor told us if he was still running a temperature and not eating well in 48 hours to call him back. Well, Tuesday Cole didn't eat well all day and by Tuesday night he was refusing to eat/drink anything. I changed his diaper at 5pm and at 3am it was still dry. We called our doctor and he said to take him to the emergency room because there was nothing he could do (so very helpful-note the sarcasm). I took him to the hospital where he was born because they know his history. Once again, they were wonderful! The ER doctor said he was on the verge of needing to be admitted. He said we would try an oral steroid, breathing treatment and Tylenol with Codine to see if we could get him to start eating. If he wouldn't have shown significant improvement and drank an entire bottle we would have to admit him. Praise God that Cole cooperated and we were able to take him home 5 hours later. He was diagnosed with RSV and he was on 2 oral steroids and breathing treatments every 6 hours. I stayed home Monday and Wednesday and Brad stayed home Tuesday. Luckily Grandma and Grandpa Alvey saved the day once again and drove up Thursday night to stay with him on Friday so that we could get back to work! He is feeling much better now.

On a better note, we have been enjoying the snow. Brad took Brady outside to build a snowman. Brady thought that was really cool. We had our neighbors over to watch the Colts' game and the boys had so much fun cheering on the Colts in their gear. We were sad that they lost, but it was a very exciting game to watch. We hope you enjoy the pictures and we are looking forward to heading "home" this weekend to see my Aunt Paula and Uncle Randy who are visiting from Kansas!

Our neighbor is only 1 month older than Brady and they have so much fun playing together! They're showing me their football muscles.

Supporting Payton Manning! Go Colts!

Brady was so proud of his snowman! (I think daddy was too.) :-)
