2nd negative blood culture!

We finally got 2 negative blood cultures. Yeah! That means Cole's last day of antibiotics is Thursday. The last two issues that need to be resolved are 1. eating (he still has his feeding tube, but we are going to introduce bottles on Monday) and 2. his high blood pressure. They still think that the high blood pressure could be related to the withdrawal, but if he is still having high pressures on Tuesday then they are going to have to start running some tests to see if it could be because of something else. We are praying it starts dropping into the normal range so that we can take our little guy home next weekend. They increased his feeds again today to 2 1/2 ounces and he didn't handle that well. He projectile spit up after his 2:30 and 5:30 feeding. I would say he wasn't quite ready for the increase just yet. They took some really cute pictures of him in an easter basket. I'm going to see if they can e-mail them to me so I can post them on the blog. He looked really cute with bunny ears on!! Praise God for the 2nd negative blood culture and keep praying for lower blood pressure!
